Batman wallpaper for iPhone/iPod Touch
Ever since I’ve had a mobile phone capable of displaying a logo, I’ve had a ‘Bat’ phone. So as Santa bought me an iPhone to replace my iTouch (more on that later), I decided to hunt a bit of wallpaper down. Alas most of the ones out there are gash, so as per usual, I’ve ended up having to make my own.
As we have the sequel to the excellent Batman Begins on the horizon (and if you haven’t seen the new trailer for The Dark Knight you should watch it – it looks bloody brilliant), I decided to not use my usual old school logo (the original black bat on yellow oval), and use the newer batsymbol as seen in the two new films.
So, in the interests of sharing and being a good net citizen, you can grab them below – Mac users just click and drag to your desktop, PC users right click and ‘save as’.
You’ll need something to get them onto your phone/touch, such as iPhone Drive, iNDependance or just a jailbroken, SSH capable iPhone/iPod Touch. You’ll need to rename both files, batman.png and batman.thumbnail.png respectively. Drop both files into /Library/Wallpaper and you should see them in Settings > Wallpaper. Cushdy.
Update
I finally got round to doing retina versions of the wallpaper for iPhone and iPad as well as a version for the Nexus 7
