Met Paul and Blackburn in Fenwicks for a coffee. After agreeing to meet them later in the pub, I then decided to have a wander.
I had my headphones on, but the cable of it was really really long, and linked to somewhere else in the building. As I followed the cable it lead me round fenwick’s and through a door at the end of the store.
This door opened up into an auditorium, about half way up at one side. I followed the cable through a row of chairs to the other side of the auditorium, down the stairs at that side, then round to the exit.
In the exit was a walkman – a really old, early 80s style one. Just as I was about to unplug the headphones and leave, I got tapped on the shoulder by a heavily made up middle aged woman (the classic Fenwicks employee), who informed me that unless I was going to pay for those headphones I had better take them off and hand them over.
Then it dawned on my that I had in fact nicked these headphones. I realised that I had to start lying through my teeth now. This didn’t go so well, but luckily I woke up before I got carted off.
